maths homework tasks

Task #1
Create some sort of method for teaching younger kids about how fractions work.
Put your flash new system on a powerpoint and email it in. Or, take a photograph or two of it and email them in it.
Or....draw it, model it , trial it , or whatever makes sense for you. Share it with your teacher and you might even get to practice it with your class.

Task #2
Make some sort of model that shows the relationship between different fractions from 1/2 to 1/64th. Photograph and submit to the teacher.

Task # 3
Multiplication: Lets play with numbers. Attack the 11 times tables and create a foolproof system for multiplying any 2 digit number by 11. Practice it. Double check that it works with ANY random 2 digit number and write it out as a system that anyone could follow. Submit as a MSWord document via email here.
Remember: No-one is "expected" to do any of these tasks.... But, if you do try some, try not to do any more than a couple each term, as the focus is on quality, not quantity. Also, make sure that you allow yourself plenty of time for the tasks that you do. Thats right. You decide when you do them, how you do them and how much effort you put in.
Even if you only do one task, it will be marked with all the rest and you will be recognised for the presentation, quality and effort.
