Science Tasks

This is it. These are the homework tasks. Choose one and write down what it says. Work your way through it and then hand it in to your teacher. Submit it via email if that is possible or physically give it to the teacher. Expect to be given your marks at the last assembly of term.

Task #1

Become an expert: Select a specific habitat or eco-system and discover everything that you can about it. Create a report, IN YOUR OWN WORDS, complete with pictures and diagrams and email it in as a word document to expert@green-planet.co.nz Do not forget to include references to where you got your information from and make sure that it is all in your own words.

Task # 2

Select a plant, insect or animal that you know very little about and make a realistic but manageable sized model of it. Highlight the features that make this species special. Photograph it and send pics in via email to expert@green-planet.co.nz and bring the model into class for display.

Task # 3

Select a native bird species and create a profile card for it. Include it's diet, habitat, life-span, life cycle, enemies and any other interesting facts that you can think of or find out. Make a realistic but manageable sized model of it. Highlight the features that make this species special. Photograph it and send pics in via email to expert@green-planet.co.nz and bring the model into class for display.
